It is official organization for facilitating social development activities of the Alleppey & Ernakulam Coastal areas since 48 years. The Alleppey Diocese, which is a coastal Diocese, lying along the long coast of the district of Alleppey and Ernakulam, under it, and they come under the social influence of the society and it plays a very significant role in interventions for social change in the coastal community.
The Alleppey Diocesan Charitable and Social Welfare Society was founded in the year 1977 and registered as The Alleppey Diocesan Charitable and Social Welfare Society (ADC & SWS) in 1978. The Society (ADC&SWS) is committed to the cause of the traditional fisher folk in about 73 villages in the coastal areas of Alleppey and Ernakulam Districts of the Kerala, India.
